Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
This Sunday’s second Ligue 1 Round 3 match features Strasbourg, who host Rennes at the Stade de la Meinau. Rennes have made a flying start, winning both their opening league fixtures including a home win against defending champions PSG. Meanwhile, Strasbourg having drawn both their opening games, have made a subdued start to their campaign.
Recent Head to Head results favor Rennes, who’ve won 5 matches to Strasbourg’s 3. Additionally, none of the 8 matches played ended in a draw. This fixture has also seen a lot of goals, with the previous 8 games between the two, averaging a whopping 3.8 goals per match. Previous results do not indicate any home / away advantage and we believe both teams are evenly matched in strengths although Rennes current momentum, could make them slight favorites ahead of Strasbourg. We also believe, that there’s a high chance of this fixture yielding over 2.5 goals.
