Our prediction for this MLS match:
Sparkles will be flying when Austin FC and Los Angeles Galaxy go head to head at Q2 Stadium on Monday morning. Austin FC aim to put an end to their six-game winless run in the Major League Soccer and they are seen as favourites to win this match. The good news for the hosts is that defender Julio Cascante is back from suspension, while defender Zan Kolmanic miss out with an ACL injury.
LA Galaxy, on the other hand, are still without key attacker Javier Hernandez Chicharito, who remains on the sidelines with a long-term injury and given their difficulties on the road, we are tempted to put our money on the home side. A man to keep an eye on in the away team will be former Sheffield United centre-forward Billy Sharp, who scored a hat-trick in a 4-3 win over Minnesota United, while all Douglas Costa, Lucas Calegari, Jalen Neal, Gaston Brugman, and Martin Caceres continue to miss out with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Martin Caceres):
Martin Caceres is a widely travelled and well known Uruguayan professional footballer who plays for Juventus. Primarily a central defender, Caceres is known for his tenacity, pace, strength, tackling and aerial ability. He is versatile and can operate as full-back on either sides too. Caceres started his career at Defensor Sporting and became a regular at a very young age.
In 2007, he went to Spanish side Villarreal but never officially appeared for them. He then was snapped up by Barcelona in 2008 for a reported transfer fee of € 16.5 million. But his only season at the Camp Nou was marred with injuries and moved to Juventus in 2012 via a short stop at Sevilla.
Caceres made his full senior team debut in 2007 and was a successful member of the team that won the 2011 Copa America. He also played at the 2014 World Cup and has 68 national caps to his credit.
