Soldier Field will host Sunday’s MLS game between Chicago Fire and Los Angeles Galaxy. Chicago failed to find the net in the previous two league fixtures, and it is no surprise the odds for away win have been dropping. Brian Gutierrez misses out through suspension, but he should be the only absentee in the home team. L.A. Galaxy, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Portland Timbers and their local rivals Los Angeles FC.
Former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker Javier Hernandez Chicharito has already found his goal-scoring touch, which is probably the main reason why away win should be considered. Both Jorge Villafana and Adam Saldana are out of contention with injuries for the away team. In their last meeting at the venue Los Angeles Galaxy defeated Chicago Fire thanks to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s goal.

Francisco Calvo is a product of Sarprissa football academy. The Costa Rica international started his senior career at his homeland club Herediano, playing as a defender. Calvo played for the likes of Perez Zeledon, Nordsjaelland, Santos and Sarprissa before joining Minnesota United in 2017 and it has to be noted that he made his MLS debut on March 4, 2017 in a 5-1 loss to Portland Timbers.
The Costa Rica defender quickly proved his worth in the Major League Soccer and in 2018 he was selected as an MLS All-Star, becoming the first ever Loons player to receive the honour. As for his international career, Francisco Calvo made his Costa Rica debut on July 2, 2011 in a Copa America loss to Colombia.
The Minnesota United man is used as both centre and left back and his preferred foot is left. Calvo was born in San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica, on July 8, 1992.

Los Angeles Galaxy are probably the most famous American soccer club. The club have been participating in the MLS since 1996 and San Jose Earthquakes are considered their bitterest rivals. A number of top-class players were part of the team in the past, but, no doubt, David Beckham is the club’s most significant star. The former Manchester United star played for LA Galaxy from 2007 to 2012 and he scored 18 goals in 98 appearances in the league for the club.
Fellow England international Steven Gerrard is yet another Premier League ace who joined LA Galaxy. Stevie G signed a $9 million deal with the club in June, 2015. One year before he arrived to Los Angeles, the Galaxy won their fifth MLS Cup, with the team beating New England Revolution (2-1) in the final of the tournament, but winning the CONCACAF Champions League in 2000 is considered the club’s biggest success. The MLS outfit outplayed Olimpia of Honduras in the title game, with Ezra Hendrickson scoring the winning goal ten minutes before the final whistle.
