FC Cincinnati will be aiming to build on a thrilling 3-2 win over Portland Timbers when they face New York City at TQL Stadium. The Orange and Blue once again showed their attacking firepower last weekend, but head coach Pat Noonan has some selection worries ahead of Saturday’s clash. All Kubo, Nwobodo, Orellano, and Sergio Santos are sidelined with injuries, which could force the Cincinnati boss to shuffle his pack.
New York City, on the other hand, recorded a 2-1 victory over Nashville in their last league fixture, with the team showing resilience and efficiency in front of goal. The visitors, though, are not without injury issues themselves as Cavallo, Jones, Thiago Martins, and Parks are all unavailable for selection. Despite those absences, Nick Cushing’s troops have been creating plenty of chances in recent matches, with the likes of Santi Rodriguez and Alonso Martínez stepping up in the final third.
