Dick’s Sporting Goods Park will host Sunday’s football game between Colorado Rapids and Minnesota United. The start of the season has been a mixed bag for Colorado, who shared the spoils with Dallas, lost to Austin, while beating Vancouver in their last league match. Chile international Diego Rubio, who scored the winner at the weekend, will be the man to keep an eye on in the home team, while both Beitashour and Galvan are likely to miss the game with injuries.
The Loons, on the other hand, do not seem to be at their sharpest at the start of the season, with the team losing to all Seattle, Real Salt Lake, and Austin, and that is probably the main reason why home win should be considered. It has to be noted that Minnesota United have never defeated Colorado Rapids at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
Highlighted Player (Diego Rubio):
Diego Rubio is a Chilean attacker who signed his first professional deal with Colo-Colo. Rubio, though, made only eight league appearances (scoring three goals) for the Chilean outfit and in 2011 he moved to Europe, signing a deal with Primeira Liga team Sporting Lisbon. After playing only 11 league matches for the Lions, the 179-cm tall striker joined Spanish club Valladolid at the age of 22.
It has to be noted that during his spell with Sporting Lisbon he was loaned to the likes of Pandurii Targu Kiu and Sandnes Ulf. On September 1, 2016 Diego Rubio signed a permanent teal with Sporting Kansas City and he has been playing for the MLS club ever since.
Rubio was born on May 15, 1993 in Santiago, the capital of Chile, and he made his debut for the Chilean national football team in June, 2011 against Paraguay. His contract with Sporting Kansas City expires on June 30, 2017.

Based in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area, Minnesota United are a professional soccer club that will compete in the Western Conference in the Major League Soccer from 2017. The Loons will make their MLS debut against Portland Timbers on March 4, 2017 and, no doubt, they have big ambitions for the forthcoming season.
Minnesota United are the sixth team to join MLS from a lower division and they will welcome their rivals at TCF Bank Stadium. The capacity of the stadium is 52.525 and it was opened in September, 2009. Bill McGuire is the club’s owner and he is on a quest to turn Minnesota United into a top-table side in the Western Conference.
