Our prediction for this MLS match:
Following a 2-1 loss to Vancouver Whitecaps, Dallas will look to return to winning ways when they take on Minnesota United in a highly-anticipated MLS game. The Toros continue with their old habit of producing much better showings at home than on the travels, with the team eyeing their sixth consecutive win on home soil. Dallas are a real force to be reckoned with at home, and it is no wonder the bookies see them as favourites to beat the Loons on Monday morning.
Midfielder Nicky Hernandez should be the only absentee in the home team. Minnesota United, on the other hand, do not seem to be at their sharpest ahead of Monday’s clash, with the team collecting only one point in total from the previous four league fixtures. Given Dallas’ impressive home record, the visitors are unlikely to grab something from the Toyota Stadium showdown. All Hassani Dotson, Romain Metanire, Eric Dick, and Patrick Weah are sidelined with injuries for the away side.
Highlighted Player (Matt Hedges):
Matthew Hedges is a 193-cm tall centre back who was born in Rochester, New York on April 1, 1990. At the age of 18 he started his college career at Butler Bulldogs and in 2011 he moved to North Carolina Tar Heels. After scoring 18 goals in total in college football, Matt played for Reading United before joining MLS club FC Dallas.
The American footballer has been playing for FC Dallas since 2012 and in 2016 he won both US Open Cup and Supporters’ Shield with the Toros. Matthew Hedges made his debut for USA national soccer team on February 8, 2015, coming as a substittute in the 72nd minute in a friendly against Panama.
2017 was the most successful year of his career as he won the CONCACAF Gold Cup with the Yenks. USA defeated Jamaica 2-1 in the title game, but Matt Hedges was not given an opportunity to play in the final. His preferred foot is right.
Highlighted Team (Minnesota United):
Based in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area, Minnesota United are a professional soccer club that will compete in the Western Conference in the Major League Soccer from 2017. The Loons will make their MLS debut against Portland Timbers on March 4, 2017 and, no doubt, they have big ambitions for the forthcoming season.
Minnesota United are the sixth team to join MLS from a lower division and they will welcome their rivals at TCF Bank Stadium. The capacity of the stadium is 52.525 and it was opened in September, 2009. Bill McGuire is the club’s owner and he is on a quest to turn Minnesota United into a top-table side in the Western Conference.
Adrian Heath will be in charge of the club in the 2017 season and it has to be noted that the English tactician used to train the likes of Manchester City, Everton, Aston Villa and Espanyol in the past. You should know that the club was founded on March 25, 2015.
