Our prediction for this MLS match:
Dallas and Seattle Sounders square off against each other at Toyota Stadium in what is expected to be an interesting MLS game. Dallas aim to bounce back from a 2-0 loss to Sporting Kansas City, and they are likely to go all guns blazing at Seattle Sounders. Brazil international Bressan returns from suspension, while both Che and Nelson are likely to miss the game with injuries.
Seattle Sounders, on the other hand, rolled over Portland Timbers 6-2 in their last league match, with the team regaining a much-needed confidence. Considering that Dallas experienced all sorts of problems at the back in the defeat to Sporting, we believe that punters from all four corners of the world can find value in betting on the visiting team. Both Monteiro and Ruidiaz, who impressed at the weekend, are likely to prove a handful for the opposition defenders.
Highlighted Player (Matt Hedges):
Matthew Hedges is a 193-cm tall centre back who was born in Rochester, New York on April 1, 1990. At the age of 18 he started his college career at Butler Bulldogs and in 2011 he moved to North Carolina Tar Heels. After scoring 18 goals in total in college football, Matt played for Reading United before joining MLS club FC Dallas.
The American footballer has been playing for FC Dallas since 2012 and in 2016 he won both US Open Cup and Supporters’ Shield with the Toros. Matthew Hedges made his debut for USA national soccer team on February 8, 2015, coming as a substittute in the 72nd minute in a friendly against Panama.
2017 was the most successful year of his career as he won the CONCACAF Gold Cup with the Yenks. USA defeated Jamaica 2-1 in the title game, but Matt Hedges was not given an opportunity to play in the final. His preferred foot is right.
Highlighted Team (Seattle Sounders):
Seattle Sounders are an American soccer club that compete in the Western Conference of Major League Soccer. The Sounders are owned by the likes of Joe Roth, Paul Allen, Drew Carey and Adrian Hanauer and they play their home games at CenturyLink Field.
The club won the 2016 MLS Cup, with the team beating Toronto FC on penalties in the trophy game at BMO Field. Swiss goalkeeper Stefan Frei won the MVP honor after pulling off several brilliant saves in the 2016 MLS Cup final.
Winning of the MLS Cup is undisputedly the club’s biggest success, but it has to be noted that the Sounders clinched the Supporters’ Shield trophy in 2014. Seattle hold rivalry with Portland Timbers, but Vancouver Whitecaps are regarded as the club’s bitter rivals as well.
Experienced attacker Clint Dempsey is undisputedly the club’s most significant star and he has been playing for the CenturyLink Field outfit since 2014. He scored eight goals in the league in the 2016 season and, no doubt, he helped the Sounders win their first ever MLS Cup.
