Our prediction for this MLS match:
All eyes will be on DRV PNK Stadium when Inter Miami and Atlanta United go head to head in the Major League Soccer. Inter Miami are eyeing their fourth consecutive league win, but this game will be anything but a walk in the park for the hosts. Jamaica defender Damion Lowe serves a one-game ban, while all Azcona, Gibbs, Sailor, Ulloa, Jones, and Fray have been struggling with injuries of late.
The Five Stripes, on the other hand, played out a goalless draw with Cincinnati in their last league match. Atlanta United have been having their ups and downs at the start of the season, with the team collecting 11 points from possible 21. Atlanta United and Inter Miami seem to be evenly matched at the moment, and we believe that punters from all four corners of the world can find value in betting on draw. All Rossetto, Alonso, Martinez, and Chol should miss out with injuries for the away side.
Highlighted Player (Gonzalo Higuain):
Widely regarded as one of the most talented strikers of his generation, Argentina’s Gonzalo Higuain started his career with River Plate. A transfer to Real Madrid for €12 million in 2007 catapulted him to the top league. His six years at Madrid was capped with three La Liga titles and 107 goals in 190 appearances.
Higuain became a crowd favorite at the Santiago Bernabeu and there was wide spread resentment among supporters over his transfer to Italian club Napoli in 2013 for a reported €40 million. Although he wasn’t able to win the Serie A, he carried the hopes of Napoli in 2015-16 and equaled 87-year-old record of 36 goals in a top-flight season.
Higuain or El Pipita as he is fondly called has also been a regular with his country having represented Argentina at two FIFA World Cups and as many Copa America tournaments. Higuain has a great eye for the goal and his goal scoring record bears a testament to this.
Highlighted Team (Atlanta United):
Atlanta United is a Major League Soccer club and they were founded on April 16, 2014. They are based in Atlanta, Georgia and they will make their debut in MLS in 2017. Arthur Blank is the club’s owner and Bobby Dodd Stadium is Atlanta United’s home ground.
Arthur Blank is an American businessman, who is well known for his ownership of the NFL club Atlanta Falcons. The venue was opened on September 27, 1913 and its’ current capacity is 60.316. However, it has to be noted that the team will play first eight home games of the 2017 season at Bobby Dodd Stadium, while the latter nine fixtures will be hosted by Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Speaking of the club’s colors, Atlanta United footballers wear black and red shirts and black shorts with a little bit of gold mixed in. Gerardo Martino, who used to be in charge of La Liga side Barcelona in the past, will coach Atlanta United in the 2017 MLS season. Tata Martino won the Spanish Super Cup with Barca, while making it to the Copa America final with Argentina on two occasions (2015, 2016).
