Our prediction for this MLS match:
Sunday’s football game at Allianz Field pits together Minnesota United and Orlando City, the two teams who are determined to take part in the MLS play-offs this season. The Loons continue with fine performances at home ground, but their away record is anything but impressive. Minnesota United are likely to stick to their attacking style of play against Orlando City and seeing that the Lions are on a four-game winless run on the road in the league, home win should be considered.
Unlike previous two MLS seasons, Orlando City are in the race for a place in the play-offs after 25 rounds, but there is no big value in betting on the visitors as they recorded only one win in previous six away fixtures. You should bear in mind that Minnesota United are eyeing their third consecutive wins over Orlando City in the Major League Soccer.
Highlighted Player (Francisco Calvo):

Francisco Calvo is a product of Sarprissa football academy. The Costa Rica international started his senior career at his homeland club Herediano, playing as a defender. Calvo played for the likes of Perez Zeledon, Nordsjaelland, Santos and Sarprissa before joining Minnesota United in 2017 and it has to be noted that he made his MLS debut on March 4, 2017 in a 5-1 loss to Portland Timbers.
The Costa Rica defender quickly proved his worth in the Major League Soccer and in 2018 he was selected as an MLS All-Star, becoming the first ever Loons player to receive the honour. As for his international career, Francisco Calvo made his Costa Rica debut on July 2, 2011 in a Copa America loss to Colombia.
The Minnesota United man is used as both centre and left back and his preferred foot is left. Calvo was born in San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica, on July 8, 1992.
Highlighted Team (Orlando City):

Orlando City are a member of the Eastern Conference in Major League Soccer. The Lions have been participating in the major league since 2015 and they host their rivals at Orlando City Stadium. The venue was opened in February, 2017 and the construction of the stadium cost $155 million. Orlando City finished the 2015 MLS season in seventh place in the Eastern Conference and they failed to make it to the play-offs in the 2016 season as well (8th place).
Brazilian ace Kaka is undisputedly the club’s most famous player and the former Real Madrid and Milan man became the highest-paid player in MLS history. His base salary was $6.6 million per year and it has to be noted that the Brazilian superstar found the net on his Orlando City debut against FC Dallas (friendly). Orlando City’s home kit is violet, while they wear white and violet shirts and white socks on the travels. The club’s official mascot is Kingston the Lion.
