Allianz Field will host Sunday’s MLS game between Minnesota United and Sporting Kansas City, the two sides who are eager to return to winning ways. The Loons are undefeated in the previous seven league matches and they are seen as favourites to beat Sporting in front of home fans. All Kervin Arriaga, Robin Lod, and Ryen Jiba are out of contention through injuries for the home team.
The Wizards, meanwhile, aim to recover from a 3-2 loss to Inter Miami and they are likely to adopt an attack-oriented approach in Sunday’s showdown. Sporting, though, have been struggling on the travels this season, which is probably the main reason why we are going to bet on the home side. All Stephen Afrifa, Kayden Pierre, Graham Zusi, and Kortne Thompson-Ford are out of contention through injuries, but there are no suspended players in the visiting team.

Wil Trapp is an American footballer who plays for Columbus Crew in MLS as a midfielder. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Trapp played for Akron Zips during his college career and in 2013 he returned to his hometown club Columbus Crew. Over the years the 173-cm tall footballer has established himself as a first-team regular and thanks to his thrilling performances in the Major League Soccer, he earned a place in the USA national team.
Wil Trapp made his USA debut on January 28, 2015 in a 3-2 loss to Chile. The Columbus man did well to wear captain’s armband in a friendly game against Bosnia and Herzegovina in January, 2018. Speaking of his club success, Trapp made it to the Eastern Conference play-offs with Columbus in 2015. His main position is defensive midfielder, but he is used as a centre midfielder as well.
The American footballer graduated from Lincoln High School where he was named the 2010 NSCAA National High School Player of the Year.

Sporting Kansas City have been competing in Major League Soccer since 1996 and they won their first MLS Cup trophy in 2000. The club faced Chicago Fire at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium in Washington in the play-offs final and Miklos Jon Molnar scored the winner for Bob Gansler’s team. 13 years later Sporting Kansas City met with Solt Lake in the title game and they were fortunate to defeat the Royals on penalties.
The Wizards welcome their rivals at Children’s Mercy Park, but they used to play some games at Blue Valley Sports Complex, Julian Field, Hermann Stadium and Durwood Soccer Stadium in the past as well. Sporting Kansas City were founded in 1995 and the club’s original name was Kansas City Wiz.
The Wizards wear navy blue shirts and dark blue shorts when playing at home, while the colour of their away kit is blue. Former Wigan Athletic man Roger Espinosa is regarded as one of the club’s most notable players and he has been playing for the Children’s Mercy Park outfit since 2015.
