Our prediction for this MLS match:
After suffering a 3-1 loss at Orlando City, New York Red Bulls will be looking to return to winning ways when they face Inter Miami on Thursday morning. The Metros have been having their ups and downs in the Major League Soccer of late, but a win over Inter should see them regain their spot in top six. You should bear in mind that both Davis and Seagrist are going to miss the match with injury.
The visitors, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from a 3-2 loss to New York City. Inter Miami have been struggling at the back of late, and given their anything but good away record in the 2020 MLS season, we do not believe that Diego Alonso’s troops are capable of grabbing something from the midweek clash. Earlier this season the Metros outplayed the newcomers 4-1 in Miami.
Highlighted Player (Daniel Royer):
Daniel Royer is an Austrian winger who was born in Schladming on May 22, 1990. After starting his youth career at local club Schladming, Royer moved to Sturm Graz in 2004. Five years later the 175-cm-tall footballer began his senior career at Pashing and after scoring 6 goals in 25 appearances for the club, he moved to Ried.
Daniel Royer played for the likes of Hannover, Koln, Austria Wien and Midtjylland as well before joining New York Red Bulls in 2016. In the 2017 MLS season the Austria international established himself as a first-team regular, scoring no less than 12 goals in the process.
Speaking of his international career, Royer made his Austria debut on June 3, 2011, replacing Martin Harnik in the EURO 2012 qualifier against Germany. Daniel Royer’s main position is left winger, but is used as a right winger as well. It has to be noted that the Austria international doesn’t have a preferred foot.
Highlighted Team (Inter Miami):
Inter Miami is an American football (soccer) club that has been competing in the Major League Soccer since 2020. The Herons faced Los Angeles FC on their MLS debut, with the team suffering a 1-0 loss at Venue Banc of California Stadium.
Inter Miami recorded their first MLS win on August 23, 2020, with the team beating Orlando City 3-2 during the coronavirus pandemic. The Herons wear white shirts and violet shorts when playing at home, while black is the dominant colour of their away jersey. Inter Miami welcome their rivals at Inter Miami FC Stadium, the venue which can hold no more than 18,000 spectators.
The stadium was opened on July 18, 2020. Former Manchester United and England ace David Beckham shares the ownership of the club with the likes of Marcelo Claure, Jorge and Jose Mas, and Masayoshi Son. Uruguay tactician Diego Alonso is the first head coach in the history of the club.
