Vancouver Whitecaps
Rio Tinto Stadium will host the MLS game between Real Salt Lake and Vancouver Whitecaps, the two bottom-table sides. The Royals aim to put an end to their four-game winless run, and we are positive that the hosts will go for a win in Saturday’s clash. Rubio Rubin, who has already netted four goals in the Major League Soccer this season, should continue to lead the line for the hosts.
The Canadians, on the other hand, are on a three-game losing run in MLS ahead of the trip to Real Salt Lake. Since Vancouver are eager to return to winning ways as well, we are tempted to put our money on both teams to score. Highlighted Player (Nedum Onuoha):
Nedum Onuoha was born in Warri, Nigeria on 12 November, 1986, but he was brought up in Manchester. He attended Xaverian College Manchester and he was a very good student. He was an outstanding junior sprinter as well and it has to be noted that he won the silver medal at the English School’s Athletics Association Junior 100 metres contest.
Speaking of his football career, he began playing at Manchester City at age 18, scoring three goals in 95 league appearances for the Citizens. He spent the 2010/2011 season on loan at Sunderland and in 2012 he signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with Queens Park Rangers.
Despite the fact that he was born in Nigeria, Onuoha was eligible to play for England and you should know that he has 20 caps for England U21 team. However, he was never given a senior England debut despite being really close on several occasions. Onuoha won the Championship play-offs with Queens Park Rangers in the 2013/2014 season.

Vancouver Whitecaps are yet another Canadian side that compete in Major League Soccer. Vancouver began play in the USA top flight in 2011 and one year later they became the first Canadian outfit to book their place in the MLS Cup play-offs. However, star-studded Los Angeles Galaxy proved to be a big catch for the Whitecaps in the knockout round. Vancouver, though, did remarkably well to win the Canadian Championship in 2015, with the team beating Montreal Impact in the title game.
In 2016 they made it to the final of the tournament as well, but Toronto FC eventually won the trophy. The Whitecaps are owned by Greg Kerfoot, Steve Luczo, Jeff Mallett and Steve Steve Nash, the former NBA star, and they play their home matches at BC Place. Speaking of MLS games, the capacity of the venue is 22.120 and you should know that the stadium was opened back in 1983. The Caps wear white shirts and white shorts when playing at home, while the colour of their away kit is blue.
