Our prediction for this MLS match:
Seattle Sounders will be looking to make amends for a 2-1 loss to Sporting Kansas City when they take on Minnesota United at Lumen Field. Seattle are undefeated in the previous three home fixtures, and they surely want to pick up all three points from Sunday’s clash. Talented midfielder Reed Baker-Whiting serves a one-game ban, while all Pedro De la Vega, Jon Bell, Nathan Cardoso, and Braudilio Rodrigues remain in the recovery room.
The Loons, on the other hand, head into the match following a 1-1 draw with Dallas. Minnesota, though, do not enjoy playing at Lumen Field and given their eight-game losing run in Seattle, home win should be considered. Midfielder Joseph Rosales is back from suspension, while both DJ Taylor and Hugo Bacharach are out of contention with injuries for the visiting team. In their last meeting at the venue Seattle defeated Minnesota 1-0.
Highlighted Player (Albert Rusnak):
Born in Vyskov, Czech Republic on July 7, 1994, Slovakia international Albert Rusnak began his youth career in KAC Kosice. In 1997 he moved to MFK Kosice where he was talent-spotted by Manchester City scouts. However, he did not see any game action for the Citizens in the Premier League as he was immediately loaned to Oldham City.
After making only two appearances for the Latics, the Slovak moved to Birmingham City in 2014. After ending his loan spell with Cambuur, Albert Rusnak moved to FC Groningen in 2015 and it has to be noted that he scored nine goals in 61 appearances for the Dutch club in the Eredivisie.
In the winter of 2017 Rusnak joined MLS club Real Salt Lake for an undisclosed fee. Speaking of his international career, Albert Rusnak made his debut with the Slovakia national team on November 15, 2016 in a goalless draw with Austria. His father, also called Albert Rusnak, used to play football as well.
Highlighted Team (Minnesota United):
Based in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area, Minnesota United are a professional soccer club that will compete in the Western Conference in the Major League Soccer from 2017. The Loons will make their MLS debut against Portland Timbers on March 4, 2017 and, no doubt, they have big ambitions for the forthcoming season.
Minnesota United are the sixth team to join MLS from a lower division and they will welcome their rivals at TCF Bank Stadium. The capacity of the stadium is 52.525 and it was opened in September, 2009. Bill McGuire is the club’s owner and he is on a quest to turn Minnesota United into a top-table side in the Western Conference.
Adrian Heath will be in charge of the club in the 2017 season and it has to be noted that the English tactician used to train the likes of Manchester City, Everton, Aston Villa and Espanyol in the past. You should know that the club was founded on March 25, 2015.
