Following three consecutive defeats at the start of the new Eredivisie campaign, Almere City will look to give fans some cheer when they take on Groningen on Matchday 4. Almere experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 7-1 loss to PSV, but Saturday’s game could be the turning point for the struggling hosts. The good news for the home side is that defender Ricardo Visus returns from suspension.
The Trots van het Noorden, on the other hand, made a promising start to the season, with the team beating both NAC Breda and RKC Waalwijk, while sharing the spoils with AZ Alkmaar. Given Almere City’s shaky defence, we predict that Groningen are going to return to winning ways in the national championship this weekend. Talented forward Fofin Turay remains in the recovery room, but the 20-year-old should be the only absentee in the visiting team.
