Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
Buoyed by a 3-0 win over RKC Waalwijk, AZ Alkmaar will look to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they take on Heerenveen on Matchday 5. The Cheese Farmers made a promising start to the season, but they need to keep on making progress if they are to represent Netherlands in European competitions next term. A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be Ruben van Bommel, who scored a brace in the last league match, while the likes of Zoet, Schouten, and Westerveld are all major doubts.
The visitors, meanwhile, aim to build on a thrilling 4-0 win over NAC Breda. Heerenveen, though, are not regarded as good travellers and given AZ Alkmaar’s fine start to the new Eredivisie campaign, home win should be considered. In their last encounter at AFAS Stadion AZ Alkmaar defeated Heerenveen 3-0. There are no fresh injury worries in the away team.

Thanks to a top-two finish, the club booked their place in the Champions League. Heerenveen, though, recorded only one in the group stages of the elite competition as they defeated Olympiakos 1-0 at home ground. De Superfizien retain a fierce rivals with Cambuur, and there have always been fireworks in clashes between the two teams.
