Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
AZ Alkmaar will be aiming to build on a 3-1 win over Twente when they host Willem II at their AFAS Stadion on Matchday 13. AZ quickly bounced back from the shocking elimination in the Europa League, and they will be fully focused on the national championship in the remainder of the season. Pascal Jansen’s troops aim to keep on winning in the Eredivisie, and we are positive that they will stick to their attacking style of play against Willem II.
A man to watch in the home team will be Teun Koopmeiners, who scored a brace in the triumph over Twente. The Tricolores, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-1 loss to Sparta Rotterdam, and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling AZ’s party at AFAS Stadion. Jordens Peters, who suffered an injury at the weekend, is unlikely to feature against AZ.

Highlighted Player (Jordy Clasie):

Jordy Clasie is a product of the Feyenoord youth academy who plays for AZ Alkmaar as a midfielder. His main position is defensive midfield, but he is capable of producing fine displays as both central midfielder and centre-back as well.
Clasie played for the likes of Feyenoord, Excelsior (loan), Southampton, and Club Brugge (loan) before returning to Rotterdam. After ending his second spell with Feyenoord, the Dutch footballer joined AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2019. He made his AZ debut in the Eredivisie on August 4, 2019 in a 4-0 win over Fortuna Sittard.
Jordie Clasie has 12 caps with the Netherlands U21 team, and he made his senior debut in a 1-1 draw with Italy on February 6, 2013. Thanks to his elegant style of play, Clasie has earned the nickname of “Dutch Xavi”. The AZ Alkmaar midfielder was born in Haarlem, Netherlands on June 27, 1991.
Highlighted Team (Willem II):

Based in Tilburg, Netherlands, Willem II is a professional football club that competes in the Eredivisie. The Tricolores were founded back in August 1896 under the name of Tilburgia, but the club’s first big success came in the 1915/16 season when they won the national championship.
Willem II repeated the success in the 1951/52 Eredivisie campaign, with the team winning their third domestic trophy three years later. When it comes to KNVB Cup, the Tricolores have won it on two occasions (1943/44, 1962/63). Willem II are well known for their white shirts with red and blue strips, while their away kit is mainly mint with dark navy accents.
The Tricolores play home matches at Koning Willem II Stadion, the venue with the capacity of 14,700 spectators. Willem II have fierce rivals in Nac Breda, as the cities of Breda and Tilburg are only 20 kilometers apart. Former Barcelona and Arsenal star Marc Overmars is one of the most notable footballers who played for the club.
