Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
There will be fireworks when Excelsior and Heracles face each other at Van Donge & De Roo Stadion in the Eredivisie relegation playout semi-final, first leg. Excelsior booked their place in the semis by beating Roda in the double-header, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in the upcoming two-legged tie. Marinus Dijkhuizen is unlikely to make changes to the team that defeated Roda after extra-time.
The Black and Whites, on the other hand, dropped to the Eredivisie relegation zone following three consecutive defeats. Heracles are eager to make amends for a heart-breaking 3-1 loss to Sparta, and they should take advantage of Excelsior’s shaky defence. Anyhow, the Eredivisie side will not have a better chance than this to get back on course. Vito van Crooij has joined the likes of Azzaoui, Blaswich, Sierhuis, and Kiomourtzoglou in the recovery room.
Highlighted Player (Janis Blaswich):
Janis Blawich is a German footballer who plays for Heracles Almelo as a goalkeeper. Blaswich started his senior career at Borussia Monchengladbach, make 125 appearances for the reserve team. In the 2015/16 season he was loaned to Dynamo Dresden where he made 30 league appearances.
Following his loan spell with the Yellow and Blacks, the 193-cm-tall shot-stopper moved to fellow German side Hansa Rostock, signing yet another loan deal. In 2018 he joined Dutch club Heracles Almelo, and he has been playing for the Heraclieden ever since. Janis Blaswich made his Eredivisie debut on August 11, 2018 in a 1-1 draw with Heracles, and he managed to keep his first clean sheet in the Dutch top flight the following month in a 4-0 win over De Graafschap.
The goalkeeper was born in Willich, Germany on May 2, 1991, and his preferred foot is right. Janis Blaswich wears the No. 1 shirt at Heracles.
Highlighted Team (Heracles):
Heracles is a professional Dutch club based in Almelo. The club was formed back in May 1903 and named after Heracles, the demigod son of Zeus. From 1974 to 1998 the club played under the name of SC Heracles ’74. The Heraclieden’s home colours are black and white, while blue is the dominant colour of their away shirt.

In the 2011/12 season they made it to the Dutch Cup final. Heracles faced PSV in the title game, with the Dutch giants proving to be a big catch for the underdogs.
