All eyes will be on De Kuip when Feyenoord and AZ Alkmaar take on each other in the Eredivisie round 12. Feyenoord aim to recover from a heart-breaking Champions League loss to Lazio, but they will have to showcase their worth on the field. Bart Nieuwkoop limped off with injury in the midweek defeat, with Gernot Trauner likely to step up. The Cheese Farmers, on the other hand, head into the match following a 1-1 draw with Excelsior.
AZ Alkmaar are eager to stay in the Champions League berth, but seeing that Feyenoord are on a four-game winning run at home, we are not tempted to put our money on the underdogs. There are no fresh injury worries in the away team ahead of the trip to Rotterdam. As always, Green centre-forward Vangelis Pavlidis is widely expected to lead the line for the visiting team.

Born in Jirandeh, Iran on August 11 1990, Alireza Jahanbakhsh is a footballer who plays for AZ Alkmaar in Holland. Before AZ, Jahanbakhsh played for NEC in the Eredivisie, but he began his youth career at Payam Alborz Qazvin. Speaking of his senior debut, he made it with Damash Tehran in the 2010/2011 season.
In 2011 he moved to fellow Iranian club Damash Gilan and it has to be noted that he scored 10 goals in 44 appearances in the league for the club. The AZ Alkmaar winger, who is used as an attacking midfielder as well, scored 21 goals in 33 appearances in the Eredivisie in the 2017/2018 season. Speaking of his international career, Alireza JahanBakhsh scored two goals for Iran on the road to Russia and he will represent his homeland at the 2018 FIFA world cup finals.
Due to his style of play, Jahanbakhsh has always been compared to legendary Iranian footballer Mehdi Mahdavikia.

AZ Alkmaar are a professional football club that play their home matches at AFAS Stadion. The venue was opened on 4 August, 2006 and the construction of the stadium cost €38 million. AFAS Stadion is able to hold 17 023 spectators.
The Cheeseheads were founded on 10 May, 1967 and they won their first trophy in 1981, finishing the season 12 points clear of Dutch giants Ajax. 18 years later AZ clinched their second Eredivisie trophy, with the team finishing the 2008/2009 campaign with 80 points, 11 clear of second-placed Twente.
