Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
After sharing the spoils with Twente, Heracles will be aiming to put an end to their three-game winless run in the Eredivisie when they take on Zwolle at Erve Asito. Heracles are on the right track to secure the elite division survival, and a win over Zwolle will see them rejoin the Europa League race. The Black and Whites produce much better showings at home than on the travels, and it is no wonder they are seen as favourites to win Sunday’s clash. Heracles boss Frank Wormuth should have a full squad to choose from.
Zwolle, on the other hand, aim to build on a 4-1 win over Heerenveen, but given their anything but good away record in the Dutch top flight, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the home side. In their previous meeting at Erve Asito Heracles rolled over Zwolle 4-0.
Highlighted Player (Janis Blaswich):
Janis Blawich is a German footballer who plays for Heracles Almelo as a goalkeeper. Blaswich started his senior career at Borussia Monchengladbach, make 125 appearances for the reserve team. In the 2015/16 season he was loaned to Dynamo Dresden where he made 30 league appearances.
Following his loan spell with the Yellow and Blacks, the 193-cm-tall shot-stopper moved to fellow German side Hansa Rostock, signing yet another loan deal. In 2018 he joined Dutch club Heracles Almelo, and he has been playing for the Heraclieden ever since. Janis Blaswich made his Eredivisie debut on August 11, 2018 in a 1-1 draw with Heracles, and he managed to keep his first clean sheet in the Dutch top flight the following month in a 4-0 win over De Graafschap.
The goalkeeper was born in Willich, Germany on May 2, 1991, and his preferred foot is right. Janis Blaswich wears the No. 1 shirt at Heracles.
Highlighted Team (Zwolle):
Founded on June 12, 1910, PEC Zwolle is a Dutch football club which competes in the Eredivisie. Zwolle have yet to win the national championship, but they did remarkably well to lift the Dutch Cup trophy in 2014. Ron Jans’s troops impressed in the title game, with the team rolling over Dutch giants Ajax 5-1.
The Blauwingers play their home games at MACPARK Stadion, the venue with the capacity of 14,000 people. The multi-use stadium was opened on August 29, 2009. Zwolle’s home kit is blue and white, while the colour of their away jersey is green and white. In the 2014/15 season the Blauwingers represented the Netherlands in the Europa League, with the team losing to Sparta Prague in the play-off round.
The likes of Henk Timmer (237), Johan Hansma (231), Bert Konterman (219), Arne Slot (208), and Jasper Drost (182) are the players with the most league appearances for the club. Go Ahead Eagles are considered the club’s biggest rivals as both teams are located at the river Ijssel.
