Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
Sparta Rotterdam play host to Fortuna Sittard on day 22 of the new Eredivisie campaign. Sparta aim to put an end to their four-game winless run in the national championship, and we are positive that they will adopt an attack-minded approach in Saturday’s football match. The Rotterdammers showed character in their last league match, with the team coming from behind to share the spoils with Den Haag, and, no doubt, they are capable of matching Fortuna on home soil.
Reda Kharchouch is pushing for a start after scoring the equalizer in the 1-1 draw with Den Haag. Fortuna, on the other hand, failed to impress in a 1-0 home loss to Heracles, which is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on the hosts. Sjors Ultee should have a full squad to choose from for the Sparta Stadion Het Kasteel clash.

Bryan Smeets is a product of MVV Maastricht football academy who plays for Sparta Rotterdam in the Dutch Eredivisie. Smeets scored 23 goals in 144 league appearances for MVV before joining De Graafschap in 2015.
After his spell with the Superboeren, the midfielder moved to Cambuur in the 2017/18 season. The following season he joined Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv where he scored 12 goals in 37 appearances in the elite division. Bryan Smeets then decided to return to Netherlands as he joined Sparta Rotterdam in the 2019/20 season. He scored his first goal with De Kasteelheren in a 4-0 win over RKS Waalwijk on September 21, 2019.
His main position is attacking midfielder, but he is used as both central midfielder and right winger as well. Bryan Smeets has a contract with Sparta Rotterdam which should expire on June 30, 2021. He is a two-footed player.
Highlighted Team (Sittard):

Fortuna Sittard is one of the newer additions to Dutch football as the club was founded on July 1, 1968. During the 1990s talented footballers such as Kevin Hofland, Mark van Bommel, and Fernando Ricksen played for the club, but they failed to close the gap between Dutch giants Ajax and PSV. In 1999, though, the Fortunezen did well to make it to the Dutch Cup final, with the team facing Ajax in the title game.
Amsterdammers defeated Fortuna Sittard 2-0 at De Kuip, with Jesper Gronkjaer scoring a brace. Fortuna Sittard players wear yellow shirts and green shorts when playing at home, while their away kit is white. The Fortunezen host their rivals at Fortuna Sittard Stadion. The venue was built in 1999, and it can hold up to 12,500 spectators.
Aforementioned midfielder Mark Van Bommel is the most notable footballer who played for the club. After ending his spell with Fortuna Sittard in 1999, Mark van Bommel played for the likes of PSV, Barcelona, Bayern Munchen, and Milan.
