Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
Buoyed by a splendid 5-0 win over Almere City, Twente will be aiming to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they take on NAC Breda on Matchday 7. The Reds have been scoring goals for fun of late and they are likely to adopt yet another attack-oriented approach against Breda. A man to watch in the home team will be talented midfielder Sem Steijn, who has found his goal-scoring touch of late, while both Younes Taha and Michal Sadilek remain on the sidelines with injuries.
Carl Hoefkens’ troops, on the other hand, aim to recover from a 2-0 loss to Feyenoord, but given their difficulties on the road, anything but a routine Twente win would be a big surprise. Both Raul Paula and Alme Omgba are out of contention with injuries for the visiting side, while Poland forward Kacper Kostorz is pushing for a recall to the starting XI.
Highlighted Team (Twente):
Based in the city of Enschede, Twente is a Dutch football club that welcomes their rivals at De Grolsch Veste. The venue was opened on May 10, 1998, and the capacity of the stadium is 30,205 people. The club was founded in 1965 as a merger of Sportsclub Enschede and Enschedese Boys.
The Reds did remarkably well to win the Eredivisie title in the 2009/10 season, with the team finishing the process only one point clear of Dutch giants Ajax. As a result, Twente booked their place in the Champions League group stages. The Reds did well to collect six points in their group, but that did not help them make it to the last 16.
Twente are well known for their red jerseys, but they wear dark blue shirts when playing on the travels. The Reds take on Heracles Almelo in the Twentse Derby. Sander Boshchker is leading Twente’s all-time goal-scoring chart with 653 goals on his account.
