Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
Twente will be aiming to recover from a 2-1 loss to Utrecht when they take on Zwolle on Matchday 5. The Reds are eyeing their first home win of the season and they are likely to go all guns blazing at the Blauwvingers. As there are no fresh injury worries in Joseph Oosting’s team, home win should definitely be considered. Zwolle, on the other hand, desperately needed a win against Heracles and they managed to get one, with the team putting an end to their three-game losing run.
As Johnny Jansen’s troops have been struggling on the travels in the new Eredivisie campaign, we are tempted to place our bets on the home side. You should know that Twente are after their fifth consecutive win over Zwolle in the national championship. Defender Thierry Lutonda is back from suspension for the visiting side.
Highlighted Team (Twente):
Based in the city of Enschede, Twente is a Dutch football club that welcomes their rivals at De Grolsch Veste. The venue was opened on May 10, 1998, and the capacity of the stadium is 30,205 people. The club was founded in 1965 as a merger of Sportsclub Enschede and Enschedese Boys.
The Reds did remarkably well to win the Eredivisie title in the 2009/10 season, with the team finishing the process only one point clear of Dutch giants Ajax. As a result, Twente booked their place in the Champions League group stages. The Reds did well to collect six points in their group, but that did not help them make it to the last 16.
Twente are well known for their red jerseys, but they wear dark blue shirts when playing on the travels. The Reds take on Heracles Almelo in the Twentse Derby. Sander Boshchker is leading Twente’s all-time goal-scoring chart with 653 goals on his account.
