Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
RKC and Sparta go head to head at Mandemakers Stadion in what is expected to be a close encounter. Both teams sit in the danger zone in the Eredivisie table, and, no doubt, their main goal for the 2020/21 season is to avoid relegation to the Dutch second tier. RKC failed to spoil AZ Alkmaar’s party at AFAS Stadion, and, to make things even worse for boss Fred Grim, Sylla Sow suffered an injury after just 37 minutes.
Sparta Rotterdam, on the other hand, are still eyeing their first win of the season, but beating RKC on the road is easier said than done. Fred Grim’s troops did well to hold Feyenoord to a 2-2 draw in their last home game in the Eredivisie, and they are surely capable of sharing the spoils with Sparta on Matchday 8.

Highlighted Player (Konstantinos Lamprou):

Konstantinos Lamprou is a Greek goalkeeper who plays for Eredivisie club RKC Waalwijk. Kostas is a product of the famous Ajax football academy, but he eventually decided to join Feyenoord football school. The 178-cm-tall shot-stopper continued playing for Feyenoord at senior level, making 14 league appearances for De Trots van Zuid.
During his spell with Feyenoord, Kostas Lamprou played for the likes of Excelsior and Willem II on loan as well. In 2017 he returned to Ajax, but made no more than three appearances in the Eredivisie with the Amsterdammers.
In the 2019/20 season he did not see any game action with Vitesse, and, as a result, he decided to join RKC Waalwijk at the end of the campaign. Born in Athens on September 18, 1991, Konstantinos Lamprou has 14 caps for the Greece U21 team. He has yet to make his debut with the senior team. His preferred foot is left and he wears the No. 31 shirt at RKC Waalwijk.
Highlighted Team (Sparta Rotterdam):

Founded back on April 1, 1888, Sparta Rotterdam is considered one of the oldest clubs in the Netherlands. De Kasteelheren (the Castle Lords) welcome their opponents at Het Kasteel, and they have a great rivalry with Feyenoord. Yet another Rotterdam club Excelsior are considered Sparta’s fierce rivals as well.
Sparta Rotterdam wear white shirts with red strips when playing on home soil, while sky blue is the dominant colour of their away kit. De Kasteelheren have won six Eredivisie trophies. Sparta were the dominant force in the Dutch football in the 1910s, with the team winning their last league title in the 1958/59 season.
De Kasteelheren have won three Dutch Cup trophies as well (1957/58, 1961/62, 1965/66). In the 1985/86 season Sparta last participated in the UEFA Cup, with the team beating Hamburger SC in round 1, while suffering elimination to Borussia Monchengladbach in the second round. Sparta’s stadium Het Kasteel can hold up to 11,926 spectators.
