Our prediction for this Portugal League Cup match:
Estadio Municipal de Famalicao will host Saturday’s Taca da Liga game between Famalicao and Academico Viseu, the two teams who meet for the first time since February 2019. Back then Os Azuis e Brancos emerged triumphant (3-2), and they surely want the history to repeat itself. All Jaime, Youssouf, Millan, and Fonte should be given a chance to start against Academico Viseu.
The visitors, on the other hand, kicked off their Portugal League Cup campaign with a 1-1 draw against Torreense, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against the Primeira Liga side. Famalicao rolled over Dumiense 4-1 in the Taca da Portugal, which is yet another reason why we are going to put our money on Joao Pedro Sousa’s troops. To make things even worse for the away team, forward Yuri Araujo limped off with injury in the Group H opener.
