Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
High-flying Famalicão head to Porto, where they will face Boavista in a clash of the 8th placed and the 3rd placed team. For the home team, it has been a mediocre season. Even though they will be glad they are away from the relegation battle, it is still not where the one-time Portuguese champions want to be. They have an ambitious owner and fans that always demand more.
Recently, though, they have found themselves in a bit of a poor run which has seen Daniel Ramos introduced to the bench. Let’s see how the team can react here. Famalicao, on the other hand, are the biggest surprise of this season. They are flying, as they are placed in the 3rd spot in the league. Their games have also seen by far the most goals this season – 3.60 per game on average, and they have scored 29 and conceded 25. Their games are certainly not dull, and their attacking style has won the hearts of many supporters. They have encountered problems, though, and have only won a game in their last six. One thing that is almost guaranteed is goals, and with their new manager, Boavista will want a win here.
