Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Famalicao will be aiming to build on back-to-back wins over Vitoria Setubal and Boavista when they welcome Maritimo at Estadio Municipal 22 de Junho on Matchday 17. Famalicao are the biggest surprise of the season, and you should know that they are eyeing their fourth consecutive clean sheet in all competitions. The newcomers scored 2+ goals in each of their previous six home games in the national championship, but the game against the in-form visitors will be anything but a walk in the park for the hosts.
It has to be noted that the hosts will be without first-choice goalkeeper Rafael Defendi against Maritimo as he misses the game through suspension. Jose Gomes’ men, on the other hand, have been impressive at the back of late, with the team keeping a clean sheet in each of their last four games in all competitions. Therefore, we believe that punters can find value in placing under 2.5 goals bet.
