Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Saturday’s football game at Estadio D. Afonso Henriques pits together Vitoria Guimaraes and Rio Ave. Guimaraes have been in a fine form in 2021, and, no doubt, they are determined to book their place in the Europa League. The likes of Agu, Amoah, and Mascarenhas are rated doubtful, and they will be assessed ahead of the kick-off, while Jhonatan remains quarantined.
Rio Ave, on the other hand, desperately needed a win against Tondela, and they managed to get one. Miguel Cardoso’s troops aim to give fans yet another reason for celebration, but beating Vitoria Guimaraes on the road is easier said than done. A close encounter is on the cards at Estadio D. Afonso Henriques, and we believe that punters can find value in betting on draw. Both Andre Pereira and Junio are likely to miss the game with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Falaye Sacko):
Born in Bamako, Mali on May 1, 1995, Falaye Sacko is a pacey right-back, who plays for Vitoria Guimaraes in the Primeira Liga. Sacko has 11 caps with Mali, and he scored his first goal with the national team on June 16, 2019 in a friendly against Algeria.
Speaking of his club career, Sacko started his senior career at Djoliba, and in 2015 he joined Hungarian outfit Ujpest. After failing to see any game action in the Hungarian top flight, the Mali international moved to Vitoria Guimaraes in 2016. He first played for the Guimaraes B team, making his professional debut in the Segunda Liga clash against Atletico CP on February 17, 2016.
Falaye Sacko, who has established himself as a first-team regular at Vitoria Guimaraes, wears the No. 17 jersey. His primary position right-back, but he is used as a left-back as well.
Highlighted Team (Rio Ave):
Nicknamed Rio Grande, Rio Ave are a Portuguese club that compete in Primeira Liga. Rio Ave were founded back in 1939 and they welcome their rivals at Estadio dos Arcos, the stadium which can hold up to 12,815 people.
The team’s home shirt is green with white stripes, whilst the colour of their shorts is green. Rio Ave wear white shirts and white shorts when playing on the travels. The club’s biggest success came in the 2014/2015 season when they represented Portugal in the Europa League group stages. Rio Ave finished the process in the last position in Group J, but they did well to record their first ever win in the competition, with the team beating Danish club Aalborg 2-0 at their Estadio do Rio Ave Futebol Clube.
Former Real Madrid full-back Fabio Coentrao is considered one of the club’s most notable footballers. Manchester City first-choice goalkeeper Ederson played for Rio Ave in the past as well.
