Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Nacional and Boavista go head to head at Estadio da Madeira in the opening match of the season. Nacional aim to bounce back from a pre-season defeat to Santa Clara, and it is well known that the Alvinegros are tough to beat at home. Summer signing Gergely Bobal is widely expected to make his Nacional debut against Boavista. The visitors, on the other hand, finished the last Primeira Division campaign in 12th position, only five points clear of the relegation zone.
Boavista are eyeing a top-table finish this time out, but given their form after the coronavirus football break, we are tempted to put our money on the hosts. Pacey right-back Carraca will be sorely missed in Saturday’s clash as he joined Porto on a free transfer in the summer transfer window, as well as Edu Machado who signed a permanent deal with Leixoes.
