Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Estadio da Madeira will host Wednesday’s football game between Nacional and Rio Ave, the two teams who sit in the relegation zone. Nacional are stuck at the bottom of the table, and seeing that they failed to secure the Primeira Liga survival, we do not believe that there is a big value in betting on the hosts. All Witi, Rouai, Rochez, Gorre, and Bessa are pushing for a start for the home team.
Rio Ave, on the other hand, are two points behind the safe zone ahead of the last game of the season. The visitors are determined to, at least, book their place in the relegation playoffs, and we are positive that they will prove their worth on the field. Talented midfielder Rafael Camacho, who suffered an injury in the 3-0 loss to Porto, is unlikely to feature against Nacional.
Highlighted Player (Riccardo Piscitelli ):
Born in Vimercate, Italy on October 10, 1993, Riccardo Piscitelli is a goalkeeper who plays for Nacional in Primeira Liga. Piscitelli started his youth career at Serie A giants Milan, but he was not given a chance to play for the senior team.
As a result, he was sent on loan to Carrarese where he made 23 appearances in the league. The Italian shot-stopper played for the likes of Benevento, Carpi, and Dinamo Bucuresti as well before joining Nacional in 2020. Riccardo Piscitelli has three caps with the Italy U20 team, but he has yet to make his debut with the senior team.
His preferred foot is left, and he has a contract with Nacional until July 24, 2020. The 189-cm-tall has yet to establish himself as a first-choice goalkeeper at Nacional as he has been in Daniel’s shadow. His preferred foot is left.
Highlighted Team (Rio Ave):
Nicknamed Rio Grande, Rio Ave are a Portuguese club that compete in Primeira Liga. Rio Ave were founded back in 1939 and they welcome their rivals at Estadio dos Arcos, the stadium which can hold up to 12,815 people.
The team’s home shirt is green with white stripes, whilst the colour of their shorts is green. Rio Ave wear white shirts and white shorts when playing on the travels. The club’s biggest success came in the 2014/2015 season when they represented Portugal in the Europa League group stages. Rio Ave finished the process in the last position in Group J, but they did well to record their first ever win in the competition, with the team beating Danish club Aalborg 2-0 at their Estadio do Rio Ave Futebol Clube.
Former Real Madrid full-back Fabio Coentrao is considered one of the club’s most notable footballers. Manchester City first-choice goalkeeper Ederson played for Rio Ave in the past as well.
