Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Sporting CP and Vitoria Guimaraes face each other at Estadio Jose Alvalade in what is expected to be one of the most entertaining games of Sunday’s program. Sporting CP aim to stay in the race for the title and seeing that they are eight points behind both Porto and Benfica in the Primeira Liga standings, we are positive that the hosts will go all guns blazing at Vitoria Guimaraes on Matchday 8.
The Lions did well to beat Desportivo Aves 1-0 in their last league match, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against Os Vimaranenses. The visitors, on the other hand, have found their best form of late, with the team beating the likes of Desportivo Aves (5-1), Tondela (3-1) and Pacos de Ferreira (1-0) in previous three league fixtures. In their last meeting in Lisbon Sporting defeated Guimaraes 2-0, but a close encounter is on the cards this time out.

Highlighted Player (Marcos Acuña):

Marcos Acuna is an Argentina international who plays for Sporting Club de Portugal as a winger. Born in Zapala, Argentina on October 28, 1991, Acuna started his senior career at Ferro Carril Oeste. After scoring 5 goals in 117 appearances for the Argentine club from 2010 to 2014, he moved to Racing Club in the summer of 2014.
The 172-cm-tall footballer looked sharper in front of goal during his spell with la Academia, scoring 16 goals in 78 appearances for the club. In June 2017 Marcos Acuna decided to take a step forward in his career, joining Portuguese outfit Sporting CP. He made his debut with the Lions in a 2-0 win over Deportivo Aves on August 6, 2017.
Acuna plays for the Argentine national team as well, making his debut for la Albiceleste on November 15, 2016 in a World Cup qualifier against Colombia. His main position is left-back, but he is used as both left midfielder and left winger as well.
Highlighted Team (Guimaraes):

Vitoria Guimaraes have always been in the shadow of famous Portuguese sides Porto, Benfica and Sporting, but over the years they have established themselves as a top-table side in the Primeira Liga. Os Vimaranenses did well to win Taca de Portugal in the 2012/2013 season, wi the team beating Benfica in the final of the domestic cup.
Vitoria Guimaraes finished the 2016/2017 Primeira Liga campaign in fourth place in the standings and, as a result, they booked their place in the Europa League qualifiers. The Portuguese side will face the likes of Salzburg, Konyaspor and Olympic Marseille in Group I and they are seen as underdogs in their group. Vitoria Guimaraes welcome their rivals at Estadio D. Alfonso Henriques and the venue can hold up to 30.000 spectators.
Os Vimaranenses play their home games in white shirts and white shorts, whilst they wear black when playing on the road. Their neighbours Braga are considered Guimaraes’ fiercest rivals and the two teams face each other in the derby of Minho Province.
