Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Sporting CP and Rio Ave face each other at Estadio Jose Alvalade in the closing match of Primeira Liga round 6. The Lions aim to build on a 3-0 win over Moreirense and they are likely to adopt yet another attack-oriented approach against Rio Ave. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team, but Dutch defender Jerry St. Juste remains on the sidelines. A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be summer signing Viktor Gyokeres, who scored his third goal of the season at the weekend.
Meanwhile, the visitors are on a four-game winless run in the Portuguese top flight and given their poor head-to-head record versus Sporting CP, anything but a routine home win would be a big surprise. You should bear in mind that in their last meeting in the beautiful city of Lisbon the Lions outplayed Os Rioavistas 3-0.
Highlighted Player (Sebastian Coates):
Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, on October 7, 1990, Sebastian Coates is a 196-cm-tall defender who plays for Sporting CP in Primeira Liga. Coates wears the number 4 shirt at Sporting CP, and his preferred foot is right.

The club’s biggest success came in the 2014/2015 season when they represented Portugal in the Europa League group stages. Rio Ave finished the process in the last position in Group J, but they did well to record their first ever win in the competition, with the team beating Danish club Aalborg 2-0 at their Estadio do Rio Ave Futebol Clube.
