Our prediction for this Premier League match:
Crystal Palace and West Ham face each other at Selhurst Park in the opening match of Saturday’s program. The Eagles aim to recover from a 2-0 loss to Wolverhampton, but they have little to play for in the season finale. Odsonne Edouard is pushing for a recall to the starting XI, whereas Nathan Ferguson remains on the sidelines with injury. Nathaniel Clyne is a major doubt and the former Liverpool right-back will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.
The Hammers, on the other hand, are five points clear of the relegation zone ahead of Matchday 44. David Moyes’ men are eager to make amends for a 2-1 loss to Liverpool and, no doubt, they would be happy with one point from the local derby. Taking everything into account, there is a big value in betting on draw. Gianluca Scamacca should be the only absentee in the away team.
Highlighted Player (Wilfried Zaha):
Wilfried Zaha is a football player who started his youth career at Crystal Palace aged 12. On 27 March 2010, Zaha made his first-team debut against Cardiff City and he continued playing for the Eagles until 25 January 2013, when he signed a deal with Manchester United for a reported £15m.
However, the pacey winger made no more than two appearances for Manchester United in the 2013/2014 Premier League campaign. In 2015 he joined his boyhood club Crystal Palace and went on to score four goals for the Eagles in the 2014/2015 Premier League season.
Wilfried Zaha was born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, but he decided to represent England on the international stage. He made his debut for the Three Lions on 11 November, 2012 in a friendly game against Sweden. Wilfried Zaha made 13 appearances for the England U21 team as well and he scored one goal for the side.
Highlighted Team (West Ham):
West Ham United are an English football club based in East London. The club was founded in 1895 and it has to be noted that the club’s name was Thames Ironworks back then. The Hammers were playing their home games at Upton Park from 1904 until 2016, when they moved to the Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
West Ham have won three FA Cup trophies (1964, 1975 and 1980) and they were runners-up in 1923 and 2006. The capital club finished the 1985/1986 England first division campaign in third place in the standings and that is the club’s highest placing in the top flight. West Ham United have strong rivalries with fellow London clubs, but Tottenham Hotspur are considered the club’s main rivals.
A number of top-class players were part of West Ham in the past and the likes of Joe Cole, Carlos Tevez, Paolo Di Canio, Paul Ince, Julian Dicks, Shaka Hislop, Michael Carrick and Slaven Bilic are some of them.
