Buoyed by a 2-0 win over West Ham United, Manchester City will look to overtake Tottenham in top position when they host Bournemouth to their Etihad Stadium on Saturday. Erling Haaland impressed on his Premier League debut, with the summer signing scoring a brace against the Hammers, meaning that the opposition back-line should have him at bay. Aymeric Laporte remains in the recovery room, while Riyad Mahrez is pushing for a start.
The Cherries, on the other hand, defeated Aston Villa 2-0 on their return to the English top flight, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against Pep Guardiola’s troops. David faces Goliath in the blue part of Manchester, meaning that anything but a routine home win would be a major surprise. As for the visiting side, both Ryan Fredericks and Joe Rothwell miss out with injuries, while David Brooks is a major doubt.

Sterling, who was born in Kingston, Jamaica, holds both the English and Jamaican citizenship but chose to represent England at the International stage. The 24-year-old has capped at every youth level and won his first cap for the senior team on the 14th of November, 2012. He has since featured 53 times for the Three Lions.
