Our prediction for this Premier League match:
Sunday’s Premier League showdown between Manchester United and Liverpool will bring down the curtain on the Premier League round 3. The Red Devils survived Fulham in the season opener, but Brighton proved to be a big catch for Erik ten Hag’s troops at the weekend. Man Utd aim to get back on course as soon as possible, but they will have a mountain to climb against Arne Slot’s team. Midfielder Mason Mount should be fit for the match, while all Tyrell Malacia, Rasmus Hojlund, Victor Lindelof, and Luke Shaw remain on the sidelines with injuries.
The Reds, on the other hand, aim to keep their 100% record in the new season intact. As Liverpool look sharp on the break, we predict that they are going to pick up all three points from the Premier League derby. Arne Slot should stick to the 4-2-3-1 formation, with Diogo Jota as a lone centre-forward. The former Feyenoord boss has a full squad to choose from.
Highlighted Player (Mohamed Salah):
Mohamed Salah is considered one of the best African players. Salah began his senior career at El Mokawloon, scoring 11 goals in 41 league appearances for the club and in 2012 he moved to Europe, signing a four-year deal with Swiss side Basel.
The pacey winger, who is capable of playing as a striker as well was producing outstanding displays for the RotBlau from 2012 to 2014 and, as a result, Chelsea chiefs decided to sign him on 26 January, 2015 for a fee of £11 million. Mohamed Salah, though, failed to impress in the Premier league and one year later he was sent on loan to Fiorentina.
After making 16 league appearances for the Viola in the Serie A, the left-footed winger signed a loan deal with Roma on 6 August, 2015. The Romans made the contract permanent on 3 August, 2016. Speaking of his international career, Salah made his Egypt debut on 3 September, 2011 in a 2-1 loss to Sierra Leone. It has to be noted that he was named Roma’s player of the season (2015/2016).
Highlighted Team (Manchester United):
Over the years Manchester United have established themselves as one of the greatest clubs in world football. The Red Devils have won three European Cup (Champions League) trophies and they have clinched no less than 20 Premier League titles.
A number of top-class players were part of Manchester United in the past, but, no doubt, the club’s biggest legend is coach Sir Alex Ferguson, who was in charge of the team for 26 years. During Alex Ferguson’s spell at Old Trafford the club won a number of trophies, but the Red Devils have been struggling in all competitions ever since he retired. Louis van Gaal helped Manchester United win the FA Cup trophy in the 2015/2016 season, with Jese Lingard scoring the winner in the 2-1 triumph over Crystal Palace at Wembley Stadium.
The likes of Bobby Charlton, Paul Scholes, Roy Keane, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, George Best and Eric Cantona are the football stars that graced Old Trafford for Manchester United.
