Our prediction for this Premier League match:
Buoyed by back-to-back wins over Aston Villa and Chelsea, Southampton will be looking to give fans yet another reason for celebration when they welcome Crystal Palace at their St. Mary’s Stadium on Matchday 20. The Saints are brimming with confidence ahead of the last game of the year, and they are certainly capable of matching Palace in front of home fans.
Danny Ings, who returns to the starting line-up, is likely to prove a handful for the opposition defenders. The Eagles, on the other hand, came from behind to beat West Ham United on Boxing Day. The capital club climbed to the top half of the standings, but share of spoils is on the cards as Roy Hodgson’s troops are not regarded as good travellers. In their last meeting in the Premier League the two teams played out a 1-1 draw.
