Our prediction for this Premier League match:
London Stadium will host Sunday’s Premier League game between West Ham United and Aston Villa. The Hammers aim to bounce back from a massive 4-0 loss to Brighton, and the fact that they defeated Nottingham (4-0) in their last home fixture is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the visit of Villa. Vladimir Coufal is a major doubt, but both Michail Antonio and Maxwel Cornet should be fit for the match.
The Villans, meanwhile, defeated Crystal Palace thanks to Joachim Andersen’s own goal at the weekend to move closer to top ten. Anyhow, we are tempted to put our money on the hosts, who want this win more than the visitors. All Diego Carlos, Kamara, Coutinho, and Dendoncker are out of contention with injuries, speaking of the visiting side. In the first half of the season West Ham defeated Aston Villa thanks to Pablo Fornals’ goal.
Highlighted Player (Tomas Soucek):
Tomas Soucek is a Czech Republic international who plays for both Slavia Prague and the Czech national team. Soucek is a product of Slavia Prague football academy and after spending several years at the likes of Viktoria Zizkov and Slovan Liberec, he returned to the Sinobo Stadium outfit in the 2017/2018 season.
Tomas Soucek has established himself as a first-team regular at Slavia Prague and he made his debut with Czech Republic on November 15, 2016 in a friendly against Denmark. The 192-cm tall midfielder has 13 caps for Czech Republic U21 team as well.
His main position on the field is defensive midfield, but he is used as central midfielder and centre-back as well. Tomas Soucek was born in Havlickuv Brod on February 27, 1995. His preferred foot is right and his contract with Slavia Prague should expire on June 30, 2024.
Highlighted Team (Aston Villa):
Aston Villa is one of the three clubs that dropped to the Championship at the end of the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign. The Villans host their rivals at Villa Park, the stadium that was opened in 1897 and its’ capacity is 42,682. However, it has to be noted that the highest attendance recorded at the stadium was 76,588 when Aston Villa faced Derby County in the FA Cup back in 1946.
Aston Villa’s fiercest rivals are Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion. Nonetheless, the rivalry between Aston Villa and Wolves and Coventry City is big as well. Aston Villa have won seven First Division (Premier League) trophies, with the team clinching seven FA Cup trophies as well.
The team’s biggest success, though, came in 1982 when they won the European Cup. The Villans defeated Bayern Munich (1-0) in the title game and Peter Withe was named the man of the match.
