Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Buoyed by a 4-0 win over Rayo Vallecano, Athletic Bilbao will be aiming to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they take on Granada on Matchday16. The Lions are only three points behind the Champions League berth and we are positive that they will go all guns blazing at Granada. As always, a man to watch in the away team will be Inaki Williams, who has netted seven goals so far this term, while Dani Garcia remains on the sidelines with injury. Defender Yeray Alvarez is a major doubt.
Los Granadinos, on the other hand, do not seem to be at their sharpest, with the team losing four of their last five league matches. The relegation strugglers failed to spoil Real Madrid’s party at “Bernabeu” at the weekend and given their shaky defence, we predict that Athletic Bilbao are going to pick up all three points from Sunday’s clash. Granada goalkeeper Raul Fernandez has joined defender Jesus Vallejo in the recovery room.
Highlighted Player (Iñaki Williams):
Inaki Williams is one of the most talented Spanish players. The pacey winger, who plays as a centre-forward as well, started his senior career at Basconia, scoring seven goals in 18 appearances for the club. In 2014 he moved to Athletic Bilbao, but he played for the reserve team at the beginning.
Inaki impressed in the 2014/2015 season with Athletic Bilbao B and, as a result, he was given a chance to prove his worth in the Spanish top flight with the first team. The Spanish footballer made his La liga debut on December 6, 2014, replacing injured attacker Aritz Aduriz in a 1-0 loss to Cordoba.
Inaki Williams represented Spain at the 2017 U21 European Championship in Poland and he played 20 minutes in a 1-0 loss to Germany in the final of the tournament. Speaking of the senior squad, the Athletic Bilbao footballer made his Spain debut in a 3-1 victory over Bosnia on May 29, 2016. Inaki Williams was born in Bilbao on June 15, 1994.
Highlighted Team (Granada):
Granada are an Andalusian football club that plays in Spanish La Liga. The club were founded on 14 April, 1931 and they have yet to win the Primera Division trophy. El Grana, though, booked their place in the Spanish Cup final in 1959, but Barcelona proved to be a big catch for the Andalusian outfit.
Granada host their rivals at Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes, the stadium that was built in 1995. The capacity of the stadium is 23,934. Granada’s main rivals are fellow Andalusian team Sevilla, but Real Betis are regarded as the club’s bitter rivals as well.
The likes of Yacine Brahimi, Juan Aguero, Gustavo Benitez, Pahinho, Denis Milar, Julio Montero Castillo, Capi, Cesar and Jose Mingorance are famous players that were part of the Estadio El Sadar outfit in the past. The original colour of Granada’s kits were blue and white, but after the Spanish Civil War the club chiefs bought new ones (red and white).
