Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Osasuna and Valencia take on each other at Estadio El Sadar in what is expected to be one of the most exciting games of Sunday’s program. Los Rojillos aim to build on a 3-2 win over Cadiz, and, no doubt, they will give 100% to remain unbeaten in the 2021/22 season. Since Enrique Barja should be the only absentee in the home team, we predict that Jagoba Arrasate’s troops are going to grab something from the match.
Valencia, on the other hand, are eyeing their third win of the season. Los Che rolled over Alaves 3-0 before the international break, but beating Osasuna in Pamplona is easier said than done. Taking everything into account, the share of spoils is on the cards at Estadio El Sadar. Jose Gaya, who suffered an injury in Spain’s 4-0 win over Georgia, will not feature against Osasuna.
Highlighted Player (Roberto Torres):
After scoring 23 goals in 132 appearances for Osasuna B, Roberto Torres made his first-team debut on 11 December 2011. He came as a substitute in a 1-1 draw with Malaga, but he played no more than two league games for los Rojillos in the 2011/2012 La Liga campaign. However, he was making progress year by year and he made 42 appearances for Osasuna in the 2015/2016 Segunda Division campaign.
Roberto Torres is one of the players who helped the team secure promotion to Primera Division and it has to be noted that the midfielder scored 12 goals in the 2015/2016 season.
Roberto Torres’ contract with Osasuna expires in 2018. The 178-cm-tall player was born in Pamplona, on 7 March, 1989. His main position is attacking midfielder, but he is capable of playing as a central midfielder as well. He scored his first goal in Primera Division in a 2-4 loss to Real Madrid in the 2012/2013 campaign.
Highlighted Team (Valencia):
Founded on March 18, 1919, Valencia FC are a Spanish football club that compete in La Liga. Los Che play their home games at Estadio de Mestalla, the stadium which was opened back in May, 1923. The capacity of the venue is 50,000. Seeing that bats are quite common in Valencia, it is no surprise they are nicknamed the Bats.
Valencia made it to the Champions League final on two occasions (2000, 2001), but they were beaten in the title games by Real Madrid and Bayern Munchen respectively. The Spanish club, though, did well to win the UEFA Cup title in the 2003/2004 season, with the team beating Marseille in the final of the competition.
A number of top-class footballers were part of the club in the past, with the likes of Pablo Aimar, Ruben Baraja, David Albelda, Santiago Canizares, John Carew and Gaizka Mendieta all playing for the Estadio de Mestalla outfit. Valencia main colors are white and black, whilst they often where orange jerseys and shorts when playing on the travels.
