Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Estadio Santiago Bernabeu will host Saturday’s football game between Real Madrid and Almeria, the two teams with totally different ambitions in the season finale. Los Blancos are eager to make amends for a 4-2 loss to Girona, and they are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach against Almeria. Lucas Vazquez is pushing for a start after scoring as a substitute in the midweek defeat, while all Thibaut Courtois, Karim Benzema, Eden Hazard, David Alaba, and Ferland Mendy remain on the sidelines with injuries.
The Andalusians, on the other hand, are only two points clear of the relegation zone. Almeria aim to build on a 2-1 over Getafe, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in Madrid. In each of their last six meetings at “Bernabeu” Real Madrid defeated Almeria and we predict that history is going to repeat itself. Srdjan Babic is banned for the match, while El Bilal Toure is a major doubt.
Highlighted Player (Karim Benzema):
Striker Karim Benzema came through his youth club Bron Terraillon in Olympique Lyon were he went through all the youth teams.
On January 15, 2005 Benzema made his debut for the first team of Lyon that season but did not have much playing time. In the 2007-2008 season he was indeed a permanent fixture in the team and he got his break . He grew that season right into a crowd favorite and clubs like Arsenal, Juventus, Manchester United, Real Madrid and AC Milan showed interest in him.
Benzema in 2008 (like 2005, 2006, and 2007) was in the champions with Olympique Lyon and had no interest in leaving France. In 2008, Karim was named best French footballer.
Highlighted Team (Almeria):
UD Almeria is a Spanish club based in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Los Rojiblancos are one of the newer additions to the Spanish football system, with the club being founded on July 26, 1989.
Almeria suffered relegation to Segunda Division in the 2014/15 season, and they have been competing in the Spanish second tier ever since. Los Rojiblancos are well known for their white shirts with red stripes, while blue is the dominant colour of their away jersey. Sofiane Feghouli, Felipe Melo, Diego Alves, Veljko Paunovic, Aleix Vidal, Alvaro Negredo, Tomer Hemed, and Mate Bilic are some notable footballers who played for Almeria in the past. Fellow Andalusian clubs Sevilla, Malaga, and Granada are considered the club’s fiercest rivals.
The club’s biggest success in Copa del Rey came in the 2010/11 season when they made it to the semis of the prestigious competition. Nonetheless, Catalan giants Barcelona proved to be a big catch for Almeria in the Spanish Cup semi-finals.
