Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
There will be fireworks when Real Madrid and Barcelona face each other in El Clasico at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. Los Blancos did well to eliminate PSG in the Champions League last 16, with the team beating Mallorca 3-0 in their last league match. Carlo Ancelotti is doing an amazing job with the capital club, but beating the high-flying Barca is easier said than done. All Ferland Mendy, Rodrygo, and Eder Militao should miss the match with injuries.
As always, a man to watch in the home team will be Karim Benzema. Xavi’s men, on the other hand, faced no difficulties in a 4-0 crushing of Osasuna, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against Real Madrid. A close encounter is on the cards at “Bernabeu”, and, taking everything into account, we are going to put our money on draw. All Pique, Balde, Fati, Roberto, and Umtiti are injured for the visiting side.
Highlighted Player (Karim Benzema):
Striker Karim Benzema came through his youth club Bron Terraillon in Olympique Lyon were he went through all the youth teams.
On January 15, 2005 Benzema made his debut for the first team of Lyon that season but did not have much playing time. In the 2007-2008 season he was indeed a permanent fixture in the team and he got his break . He grew that season right into a crowd favorite and clubs like Arsenal, Juventus, Manchester United, Real Madrid and AC Milan showed interest in him.
Benzema in 2008 (like 2005, 2006, and 2007) was in the champions with Olympique Lyon and had no interest in leaving France. In 2008, Karim was named best French footballer.
Highlighted Team (Barcelona):
Barcelona is a Spanish football club based in Barcelona, Catalonia. Barca were founded in 1899 and they are regarded as one of the greatest clubs in world football. The Catalan giants won their 24th La Liga title in 2016, with Luis Suarez winning “El Pichichi” award. Barcelona have won five European Cup trophies and a number of top-class players were part of the team in the past.
The likes of Hristo Stoichkov, Romario, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Johan Cruyff, Diego Maradona and Pep Guardiola are some of many players that played for Barca in the past, but, no doubt, Leo Messi has established himself as the club’s trademark. Barcelona welcome their rivals at Camp Nou, the stadium that was built in 1957.
Barcelona’s local rivals are Espanyol, but the rivalry between Barca and Real Madrid is much bigger. The two La Liga giants face each other in “El Clasico”, which is considered one of the most exciting derbies in the world football. Barca are famous for their football youth school La Masia as well.
