Our prediction for this Scottish Premiership match:
Expect an electrifying atmosphere at Celtic Park when Celtic begin their title defence with a game against St. Mirren. The Hoops are once again seen as hot favourites to win the Premiership trophy, but they will have to prove their worth on the field. The club chiefs have signed permanent deals with the likes of Shin Yamada, Benjamin Nygren, Hayato Inamura, Kieran Tierney, and Callum Osman in the summer transfer window.
The Saints, on the other hand, will have a mountain to climb in their season opener. Given St. Mirren’s negative record at Celtic Park, anything but a routine home win would be a big surprise. There are no fresh injury worries in the visiting team ahead of the trip to Glasgow. In their last meeting at the venue, Celtic and St. Mirren shared the spoils, but we are tempted to place our bets on the reigning champions this time out.
