Sparkles will be flying when Rangers and Celtic lock horns in the Old Firm derby at Ibrox. The Gers are desperate to melt Celtic’s advantage in the standings and we are positive that the hosts will go all guns blazing at the title holders. Home win, though, should not be considered as Rangers must be low on confidence following a heavy (6-0) Champions League defeat to Club Brugge. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team, but defender Dujon Sterling remains in the treatment room.
The Hoops, on the other hand, aim to recover from the shocking elimination to Kairat in the Champions League playoffs. Given Rangers’ shaky defence with Nacer Djiga struggling to find his form, we predict that the reigning champions are going to emerge triumphant in Sunday’s encounter. The likes of Jota, Auston Trusty, and Alistair Johnston are expected to miss out with injuries for the away team.

Glasgow Rangers are one of the two synonyms for Scottish Football. Glasgow Rangers were founded back in 1872 and they have been playing an important role in the Scottish top flight ever since. The Gers won their 54th Scottish Premier League title in the 2010/2011 season, but winning of European Cup Winners’ Cup trophy in 1972 is considered the club’s biggest success.
Glasgow Rangers defeated Dynamo Moscow in the final of the competition, with the likes of Stein and Johnston (two goals) scoring for the Scottish side. Celtic are considered the club’s biggest rivals and there have always been fireworks when the two teams meet in the Old Firm derby.
