Our prediction for this Scottish Premiership match:
Sparkles will be flying at Ibrox Stadium when Rangers and Celtic go head to head in the Old Firm Derby on Sunday. The Gers have a chance to overtake their bitter rivals Celtic in top position and we are positive that they will fight tooth and nail against the reigning champions. All Davis, Dowell, and Yilmaz have been struggling with injuries of late, while Sam Lammers is pushing for a start after coming as a substitute in a heavy Champions League loss (1-5) to PSV.
The league leaders, on the other hand, dropped two points in a goalless draw with St Johnstone. Anyhow, a lively contest is on the cards in Glasgow and seeing that both sides will go for a victory, we believe that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. All Stephen Welsh, Reo Hatate, Maik Nawrocki, Hyeon-gyu Oh, Yuki Kobayashi, and Marco Tilio should miss out with injuries for the visiting side.
Highlighted Player (Joe Hart):
Joe Hart is an English goalkeeper who was born on 19 April, 1987. Following a three-year spell with Shrewsbury Town, Hart joined big-spending Manchester City in 2006. After ending his loan spell with with Birmingham City (2010), he returned to Man City and he has been playing for the Etihad Stadium outfit ever since.
Joe Hart earned his 63rd cap for England at the Euro 2016 finals, but he has yet to win a trophy at the major tournaments with the Three Lions. On the other hand, the 29-year-old goalkeeper has clinched two Premier League trophies with Manchester City (2011/2012, 2013/2014) and the FA Cup title in 2011.
Speaking of his individual honours, Joe Hart has won the Premier League Golden Glove award on four occasions (2010/2011, 2011/2012, 2012/2013, 2014/2015). Hart made his England debut against Trinidad & Tobago on 1 June, 2008. It has to be noted that he managed to keep a clean sheet on his debut for the English national team.
Highlighted Team (Rangers):
Glasgow Rangers are one of the two synonyms for Scottish Football. Glasgow Rangers were founded back in 1872 and they have been playing an important role in the Scottish top flight ever since. The Gers won their 54th Scottish Premier League title in the 2010/2011 season, but winning of European Cup Winners’ Cup trophy in 1972 is considered the club’s biggest success.
Glasgow Rangers defeated Dynamo Moscow in the final of the competition, with the likes of Stein and Johnston (two goals) scoring for the Scottish side. Celtic are considered the club’s biggest rivals and there have always been fireworks when the two teams meet in the Old Firm derby. The likes of Paul Gascoigne, David Weir, Stefan Klos, Chris Boyd, Ian Durrant and Kenny Miller are some of Rangers’ former notable players.
It has to be noted that the Gers welcome their rivals at Ibrox Stadium, the venue with the capacity of 50,817. Rangers’ support is largely drawn from the Protestant Unionist community.
