Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Albacete and Alcorcon take on each other in the closing match of the La Liga 2 round 37. Albacete did well to hold Rayo Vallecano to a 2-2 draw in the suburbs of Madrid, but despite picking up one point from the match, they remained in the ultimate position in the standings. El Queso Mecanico aim to keep their survival hopes alive, and we are positive that they will go all guns blazing at Alcorcon.
Los Alfareros, on the other hand, aim to escape the relegation zone. Since Alcorcon are likely to go for a win in the relegation six-pointer as well, we believe that both teams to score betting option should be considered. In the first half of the season Albacete defeated Alcorcon 2-1, which is yet another reason why there is a big value in betting on BTTS. It has to be noted that Albacete are undefeated in the previous six meetings with Alcorcon.
Highlighted Player (Tomeu Nadal):
Born in Manacor, Spain on February 8, 1989, Tomeu Nadal is a 187-cm tall goalkeeper who plays for Albacete in Segunda Division. Nadal is a product of the Mallorca football school, but he played for the reserve squad at senior level.
After making 47 appearances with Mallorca B in the league, the Spanish shot-stopper joined Getafe B in 2011 where he played 39 league games. Following his spell with Gimnastic where he failed to establish himself as a first-team regular, Tomeu Nadal returned to Albacete in 2016.
He has been playing an important role in the Estadio Carlos Belmonte outfit ever since he made his debut on August 21, 2016 in a 3-0 win over Zamudio. He kept his first clean sheet in the match as well. His preferred foot is right, and his contract with Albacete should expire on June 30, 2021. Tomeu Nadal has never scored a goal in his career.
Highlighted Team (Alcorcon):
Founded on July 20, 1971, Alcorcon have been competing in Segunda Division since the 2010/11 season. Los Alfareros welcome their rivals at Santo Domingo, the stadium opened in 1999. The venue has the capacity of 5,100 people. Alcorcon have made it to the Segunda Division playoffs on several occasions, but they have never participated in La Liga.
The club’s biggest success in Copa del rey came in the 2009/10 season when they made it to the last 16 of the prestigious competition. Alcorcon suffered a 3-2 (on agg.) loss to Racing Santander in the round of 16. The club’s home colour is yellow, while their away kit is mainly blue.
Los Alfareros played their first official game on September 8, 1971, with the team losing 2-0 to Atletico Madrid youth team. The likes of Cordoba and Leganes are regarded as the club’s main rivals, while David Rodriguez is the club’s all-time top goalscorer.
