Our prediction for this Serie B match:
Stadio Benito Stirpe will host Sunday’s football game between Frosinone and Bari, the two bottom-table sides. The Canarini are desperate to record their first win of the season and they are likely to go all guns blazing at the Biancorossi. Bear in mind, though, that Gambia midfielder Ebrima Darboe is banned for the match following his sending-off in the defeat to Brescia.
Bari, on the other hand, recorded a morale-boosting win over Mantova at the weekend, with the team escaping the relegation zone. As Bari have been showing signs of improvement up front, we predict that both sides are going to find the net in Sunday’s encounter. Both Lorenco Simic and Raffaele Maiello are major doubts, while forward Giuseppe Sibilli remains on the sidelines with injury. When the two teams met in a friendly two months ago Bari recorded a 4-3 win over Frosinone.
Highlighted Team (Frosinone):
Back in 1912 Frosinone were founded as Unione Sportiva Frusinate and it has to be noted that the colors of the team were originally red and blue. They were later changed to the current yellow and blue and the Canarini have been wearing those kits ever since. Frosinone made their first ever appearance in the Serie A in the 2015/2016 season, but they failed to secure the promotion.
The Canarini finished the season in 19th place in the standings, eight points behind Udinese, who eventually avoided relegation to Serie B. However, two years later Frosinone returned to the Italian top flight as they defeated Palermo 3-2 on aggregate in the play-offs final.
The club play their home games at Stadio Benito Stirpe, the stadium that was opened in 2017. The venue can hold 16,227 spectators and it is owned by the Municipality of Frosinone. The construction cost €20 million.
