Our prediction for this Serie B match:
Venezia will look to bounce back after a poor run of results, with their three-game winless streak dragging them away from the playoff spots. The Lagunari have shown plenty of attacking promise this season, and in front of their passionate home fans they are expected to go forward in numbers once again. Midfield veteran Alfred Duncan misses out through suspension, but his absence should not drastically affect the team’s attacking potential.
The Bianconeri, on the other hand, have made a sluggish start to the new campaign, picking up only two points from their opening fixtures. The visitors have yet to find the right balance between defense and attack, and the trip to Venice comes at a difficult time. Midfielder Pietro Candelari is their only absentee, leaving them otherwise at full strength. Given their poor record so far, it is hard to see Spezia causing an upset here. Given Venezia’s hunger to get back to winning ways, and their home advantage, we predict that Giovanni Stroppa's men are going to emerge triumphant in Saturday's game.
