Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Saturday’s football game at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara pits together Bologna and Lazio. The Rossoblu head into the match following a 1-1 draw with Sassuolo where they showed character with ten men on the field. Bologna are undefeated in the previous three league fixtures, but they face an uphill task in the clash against Lazio, who are eyeing a place in the Champions League. Hickey is banned for the hosts, while Santander, Farago, and Medel remain in the recovery room. Dijks is rated doubtful for the match.
The Biancocelesti, on the other hand, recorded a hard-fought 1-0 win over Sampdoria in their last league fixture despite their Champions League commitments. The capital club take on Bologna following the Champions League clash with Bayern Munchen, which is probably the main reason why away win should be considered. A close encounter is on the cards at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, and we are tempted to put our money on draw. Escalante is sidelined through suspension for the visitors, while Luiz Felipe and Radu are both injured.
Highlighted Player (Stefano Denswil):
Stefano Denswil is a product of Ajax football academy. The Dutch centre-back, who was born in Zaandam on May 7, 1993, scored one goal in 22 appearances in the Eredivisie for Ajax before joining Club Brugge in 2015. Denswil quickly established himself as a first-team regular at Club Brugge and it has to be noted that he scored his first goal for the Blauw-Zwart in December 2015 in a 4-1 loss to Anderlecht.
Speaking of his international career, Stefano Denswil has seven caps with Netherlands U21 team, but, outside of football, the Club Brugge practices kickboxing. Stefano Denswil’s preferred foot is left, but he is not used as a left-back. His main position is centre-back and his contract with Club Brugge should expire in June, 2020.
Denswil has three Eredivisie titles with Ajax and he won his second Belgian Pro League trophy with Club Brugge in the 2017/2018 season. Denswil wears No. 24 jersey at the Jan Breydel Stadium outfit.
Highlighted Team (Lazio):
Lazio Roma are an Italian football club based in Rome. Lazio were founded in 1900 and they compete in the Serie A. The Biancocelesti (The White and Sky Blues) have won two Serie A trophies (1973/1974, 1999/2000), while lifting six Coppa Italia titles.
The capital club play their home games at Stadio Olimpico and Roma are regarded as Lazio’s main rivals.
The two teams face each other in the Derby della Capitale and it is considered the fiercest inter-city derby in Italy. Lazio won UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup in 1999, with the team beating Mallorca in the title game. The same year they managed to clinch the UEFA Super Cup trophy as they outplayed English giants Manchester United at Stade Louis II, Monaco.
The likes of Pavel Nedved, Giuseppe Favalli, Juan Sebastian Veron, Sinisa Mihajlovic, Roberto Mancini, Giuseppe Signori, Miroslav Klose and Simone Inzaghi are notable footballers who played for Lazio in the past.
