Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Lazio will be aiming to clinch second position in the standings when they take on Empoli on the last day of the season. The Biancocelesti want to put icing on the cake on a very successful Serie A campaign and we are positive that they will go for a win in Saturday’s clash. Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri will watch the game from the stands following his sending-off in a 3-2 win over Cremonese, while right-back Adam Marusic remains in the recovery room. Danilo Cataldi is unlikely to be risked.
The Azzurri, on the other hand, scored a late equalizer against relegation-threatened Verona to pick up one point from the match, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against Sergej and Co. Lazio are more of a team than Empoli and we predict that the capital club will prove their worth on the field. Defender Koni De Winter and midfielder Razvan Martin should be the only absentees in the away team.
Highlighted Player (Manuel Lazzari):
Born in Valdagno, Italy on November 29, 1993, Manuel Lazzari is a midfielder who plays for Serie A side SPAL. Lazzari played for the youth teams of Montecchio Maggiore at the start of his football career and in 2011 he moved to Delta Rovigo.
After spending the 2011/2012 season at the club, Manuel Lazzarri joined Giacomense in the summer of 2012 and it has to be noted that he made 24 appearances in the league for the club. At the end of the 2012/2013 season the 174-cm-tall footballer moved to SPAL and he quickly established himself as a first-team regular at the club.
Manuel Lazzari had seven assists in 39 appearances for SPAL in the 2016/2017 Serie B campaign and, no doubt, he helped the club secure promotion to the Italian elite division. His main position is right midfield, but he can play as both right-back and right winger if needed. Manuel Lazzari’s contract with SPAL should expire on June 30, 2021.
Highlighted Team (Empoli):
Empoli FC (Empoli Football Club 1920 SpA) is an Italian football club founded in 1920 and is currently active in the Italian Serie A.
The club is playing in the Serie A since 2014/2015 and hosts its home games in the Stadio Carlo Castellani which holds a capacity of 19 847 seats. The home colors of Empoli FC are blue and white. The Empoli Ultra’s are called Rangers 1976 and are feared in Italy.
Empoli FC didn’t win any major prizes in the clubs history. The clubs biggest achievement in the history was in 2004/2005 where the club finished first in the Serie B (the second highest football division). Because of a matchfixing scandal the title was given away to Genoa CFC. Empoli FC played in the UEFA Cup once in season 2007/2008 but got knocked out in the first round by FC Zurich.
The are several famous players that played for Empoli FC like Birindelli, Bresciano, Di Natale and Luca Toni.
