Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Genoa and Empoli square off against each other at Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris in the Serie A round 14. The Rossoblu continue with their old habit of producing excellent performances at home, while struggling on the travels and you should know that they are eyeing their third consecutive win in front of home fans. Kevin Strootman limped off with injury in a 2-1 loss to Frosinone, with Morten Thorsby likely to step up.
The Azzurri, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems in a 4-3 loss to Sassuolo and given Genoa’s fine home record, we predict that the visitors are going to return Florence empty-handed. As for the away team, defender Giuseppe Pezzella has yet to overcome a back injury, while midfielder Tommaso Baldanzi is a major doubt and he will be assessed ahead of the kick-off. It has to be noted that Genoa are undefeated in the previous seven meetings with Empoli.
