Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Buoyed by a 2-0 win over Bologna, Napoli will look to stay in the title race when they host Salernitana to their Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. The Neapolitans are still without Koulibaly, Anguissa, and Ounas, who are on Africa Cup of Nations, with Ospina and Insigne both missing out with injuries. Fit-again Nigeria attacker Victor Osimhen is pushing for a start. Salernitana, on the other hand, are fighting hard to secure the Serie A survival.
The newcomers, though, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-0 loss to Lazio, and seeing that Napoli are a real force to be reckoned with at home, the underdogs are unlikely to grab something from the match. In the first half of the season Napoli defeated Salernitana thanks to Piotr Zielinski’s goal. To make things even worse for the visitors, all Ranieri, Strandberg, Kastanos, Zortea, Capezzi, Djuric, Cagliolo, Bogdan, Coulibaly, Ribery, and Jaroszynski are out of contention through different reasons.
